Peter Vadas, PhD, is a national program leader for Land and Air Management with the USDA Agricultural Research Service Office of National Programs. He leads research programs on soil and air management and forage and rangeland agroecosystems.
Prior to joining National Programs in 2019, Vadas spent nearly 20 years as a research scientist with ARS in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, conducting research on nutrient management for sustainable animal production systems. Vadas earned a BS in environmental sciences at Virginia Tech, and an MS and PhD in environmental soil science at the University of Delaware.
